I have the honour to transmit three tenders
which we have obtained in pursuance of your letter No. 37574/1912 of the 19th of December for the supply and erection of a wireless telegraph station in Hong Kong together with a copy of Messrs Preece Cardew & Snell's
recommendations thereon.
2. The Universal Radio Syndicate (Poulsen patents) were also invited to tender but declined on the ground that the time allowed was too short to enable them to prepare the necessary particulars.
3. The enclosed tenders provide for the provision of a self contained generating plant in accordance with the wishes of the Colonial Government as conveyed to us
ca. under cover of your letter No.343 of the 14th of January.
